2006 Training and Goals...
Goals
- Average 13 points per round by USPA National Competition
- In 2005, the SDC Furies increased their average by 6 points over the previous season, while learning the AA class dive pool. With the engineering basics now under their belt, the Furies' training in 2006 will focus on the finer points of technique, gradually increasing speed while maintaining the precision that has led to their success
- Place First in all competitions entered, Midwest Skydiving League
- The SDC Furies believe regular competition is a useful training tool, as well as a great way to meet others in the sport and share their love of four-way. In 2006, the Furies will enter at least two MWSL meets, and possibly more as their training schedule and budget allow.
Training Plan
- 4 hours coached time as team in SkyVenture wind tunnel, Orlando Florida, April
- The team will dedicate 2-3 days to wind tunnel training with Sally Hathaway.
- 225 training jumps at Skydive Chicago
- 8-10 jumps each Saturday, 6-8 jumps each Sunday, April through September
- 2 weekends dedicated coaching time at Skydive Chicago, July and September
- While cost prevents the girls from having a professional coach all season, they will bring in 2 national champion coaches who will work exclusively with the Furies for 3 days each.

The Furies will continue their mission to introduce new jumpers to formation skydiving, not only in competition but also as a safe and essential skill for skydivers of all levels.
