Past Team Members

Nicole (Sass) Rauwolf

A member of the 2003 Furies, Nicole graduated from Skydive Chicago's Advanced Freefall Program in 2002, and was almost immediately tossing around the idea of an all-girls' four-way team with her skydiving classmate and new friend, Gosia. While the team and the 2003 season was an exciting development in their lives, Nicole was blessed in Spring 2004 with the birth of her son Adam, and marriage to daddy, Keith. Adam has since become the official Furies' mascot, and Nicole is the proudest "team mom" the Furies could ask for!

Renee Kostreva

Also a graduate of Skydive Chicago's Advanced Freefall Program, Renee was a classmate of Sarah's in 2001. The majority of her skydives have been large formations, including several 40-ways and bigger! A self proclaimed skibum/skybum, when Renee is not running around outdoors snowboarding, skydiving, hiking, or camping, she is getting her adrenaline fix in a wind tunnel somewhere. She lives in suburban Chicago with her two dogs, Nikita and Dakota.

Taneva Baker

Taneva has been a skydiver for many years, and as a Certified Massage Therapist, has been a godsend to countless skydivers. Owner of Massage for Health, the onsite massage clinic at Skydive Chicago, Taneva is certified in several types of therapies and teaches Massage Therapy at Northwestern Business College in Chicago.

Russ Prodehl

OK, the secret is out. The Furies was not always strictly an all-female team. 2003 was "the season of the substitute" for the team, and due to minor injuries, scheduling conflicts, and other mishaps, the girls invoked the services of whomever was ready and willing, for just about every meet they entered. That person was almost always Russ Prodehl. A union plumber, Russ has been a skydiver for many years, and lives in Joliet, IL with his lovely financee Sue.

Leo Grinya

The Furies videographer in their rookie season, Leo, is an avid freeflyer at Skydive Chicago. As the girls were just starting out, Leo was testing the waters of video flying, and the group had a great time learning together.
